This past weekend, my boyfriend, our dog Leroy, and I went home to Idaho for a little get away. Its amazing how spending time with family can affect my mood so greatly. My mom, my boyfriend's mom, and I went to see the movie August: Osage County. It wasn't the best movie that I have seen lately but being able to sit in the middle of my mom and my boyfriends mom made me reflect on how great my life is. I am unbelievably blessed to have found my soul mate, who's family I love just as much as my own, and to be able to spend precious time with both mine and his all together. Times like these are what makes me count my many blessings.

Today was the first day that I was able to experience being in a first grade classroom. After being placed in a third grade practicum last term, I was really looking forward to being in the first grade. I have always been interested in working with younger children after working in a daycare all through high school, so this is the perfect place for me, at least I hope. If all goes well, this grade will be the one that I will go on to teach after graduating in the spring.

I started going to yoga pilates classes again after not going for a good two years. I love yoga and always have. Since getting back into the classes, I have felt so much better both physically and mentally. Every day, I look forward to Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings just so that I can make it to an hour of yoga pilates. The stretching and movements really relaxes my body and mind which is what I need after a long day of school, work, and homework. Today is Tuesday, and all that I can think about is getting through the day so that I can get into that great yoga stretch and let go of any negative or overwhelming things from my day.
